Empowering Futures: Educational Outreach
Financial Aid for Bright Minds:
We provide both need-based and merit-based financial aid to students whose families face financial hardships, particularly those impacted by the pandemic. Over the past three years, we have disbursed one-time grants of Tk 6, 53,400 $5400 to (twenty seven scholarships) to students from Bangladesh and India. This support helps ensure that financial barriers do not hinder students’ educational pursuits.
Supplying Success:
We donated computers to schools like TKG Academy in Dallas and winter clothing to students in Gareya, Bangladesh.
Making Education Affordable:
We collaborate with schools to reduce fees for low-income families. Bhaktivedanta National School in India is part of this program.
Learning Without Limits:
We support adults enrolled in courses such as Bhakti Sastri (courses on ancient wisdom) and Teachers Training by providing financial assistance. Since 2021, we have helped 14 adults complete their education or continue their studies. This initiative empowers individuals to advance their knowledge and skills, fostering personal and professional growth.
Nourishing Young Minds:
We sponsor Goswami Academy’s Mid-day Meals program in Houston, providing nutritious vegetarian meals to public school students. These meals are karma-free and promote health and well-being. We aim to expand this program across the USA and invite support from the community. Statement of Funding Sources
To achieve the above-mentioned goals, our organization pursues voluntary donations from our Ancient Wisdom listeners around the globe. A bank account has been opened in Dallas, Texas, and people are contributing using a PayPal link: https://Paypal.me/gourmandalfoundation.
In addition to public support, our board members contribute a portion of their income on a monthly basis. All contributions are 100% voluntary. We believe this approach will sustain our organization’s long-term operations.
Who will benefit from our service:
Our services are open to everyone regardless of your caste, color or nationality. However since most of our legal board members, organizers of various services and our delegates are from south asian background, some of our funding go to India & Bangladesh. Currently our delegates in these above-mentioned countries are in charge of proper handling of various services and fund disbursement and we are in the process of opening bank accounts there as well.
